Hello Friends, Sometimes good things come in small packages. Abiding Savior is a real church for real people. You really can "come as you are." There are no dress codes you need to follow or long lists of thing you have to believe in. You simply have to have a curiosity about Jesus and a desire to draw closer to him. Our worship is rich and diverse, drawing from both ancient and modern sources. My sermons are practical and my Bible studies bring the Scriptures to life in fresh and thought-provoking ways. Rev. David Eck has been the pastor of Abiding Savior since 1993. He earned his MDiv from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg. He is a singer/songwriter who has released a number of worship CDs as well as devotional and liturgical materials. You can find his sermons, poetry and devotionals on his blog HERE.
Pastor Dave lives in Asheville with his husband, Gary Mitchell, who is a retired school teacher and church musician. Together, they have two adopted children and two granddaughters.
