Abiding Savior Lutheran Church

Rev. David Eck has been the pastor of Abiding Savior since 1993. He received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984 and graduated with honors. He earned his MDiv from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg in 1998. His previous congregation was Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover, NC.

Pastor Dave is also a Chaplain PRN for Mission Hospital where he received the Departmental MERIT in Motion Award for September 2009.   Pastor Dave is also a singer/songwriter who has released a number of worship CD's and has led workshops on the subject of contemporary worship.

Pastor Dave was also asked to write the liturgy resources for Reconciling in Christ Sunday, January 2010.  Click HERE to view the resources which are on the Lutherans Concerned web site.  

Pastor Dave was also part of the design team for "Create in Me," a yearly faith and arts retreat at Camp Lutheridge in Arden, NC.  Click on the link to see a video interview about the retreat which includes Pastor Dave's song "Breath of Creation."
